I just got an 86 gt black and silver trim. This is my second fiero. My first one was in Hawaii, where i was stationed. I had to sell it because the previous owner did a real hack job on the car's wiring. It went to a friend who need a project car. My GT only has 99k miles on it and seems to be well cared for. It is in the shop right now getting a new exhaust; both of its stock manifolds were loose and had broken bolts. It is getting a set of fiero store sprint headers, new stainless steel exhaust all the way to the tips. Since they have to drop the cradle to get the broken bolts out I'm having them replace the alternator, water pump, hoses(including heater hoses),belts, a full tune up, new sensors, kyb shocks, and the rear parking brake and rear brakes re done.

Welcome! Sounds like you're going about everything the right way, just replace it all while the engine is out to avoid any problems in the future.

I would suggest having the timing chain checked while they have the water pump out, pita to get to at any other time.

If any car is both the parade and the rain, it is the Fiero.

yes they did. Its a shame they didn't let the car evolve performance wise into what would have been a true American sports car.
