Hello, i have a 1985 fiero SE t-top with the v6... heres some of my issues that i, myself, cannot seem to figure out... I have no dash lights, and sometimes a horn... I have checked everyfuse... i have checked the wiring... and i even turned the switch up lol but still no lights... so no clue... the horn only seems to work when the car is being jumped... or has just been jump... with leads me to my next problem... It appears that my altenator is not setting in the correct possiotion for the belt alignment... is this a common issue? I have checked some of the pictues... and it seems that all of them run on a v-belt? well mine does not...  and the pully on the altenator is one groove to small... so when i first had it the car blew a blet... so i got a new one.. it lasted for... um... 100 miles maybe? then i had got another one... and then my car started dying... so i changed the altenator... and didnt help so i changed the battery... and had the altenator checked... its running good. so thats where i am at now... but why do you think my altenator looks like its setting off? it melts the insside of the belt the closest to the engine... and then breaks. Plus i have no power breaks and its plugged in... idk... anyhelp is greatly appriciated... thanks

Dont know if this helps much, but i had a belt melt off because of a seized A/C compressor. The wheel on compressor where belt rides through was seized and just rubbing instead of rolling, thus high friction and a fire!Thats what mechanic said anyway.
