The ignition module can be a troublesome part, they typically fail completely, though you can suffer from intermittent failures. I have had two defective modules that caused running issues. Usually, if the module or the wiring around it are bad, you'll notice that the Tachometer doesn't move when you crank over the engine.

Someone else here had a problem with their HEI 4cyl, I think it ended up turning out to be the coil packs?

ok new news i got the car to show a code and its a 42 which is the HEI module aka ignition module so gonna change that and see what happens.

I'm working on putting my 2.8 bored out .030 into my 86 SE and I need a diagram or any help on where all of the vacuum hoses should go. Thanks.

well now I'm starting to wonder if it isn't the timing injector is spraying gas and i tried to stat it today it backfired thru carb and caught fire for a sec. how does one check the timing when its electronic ignition? got good spark to all the plugs though this is weird got me wondering now cause when it does start it runs very smooth before it dies.

How do the lambo hinges work out? Can you open the doors fully vertical?

here is an update on my build....
I got the lambo hinges from Archie and installed them as well as got all the lights wired and working.
I also got my wheels from BonSpeed yesterday and I was able to test fit them last night they were perfict!
some pic's for all.

19 x 8.5 front and 20 x 10 rear
