putting an off weight could cause troubles with the crank. but i would check to be for sure otherwise like xanth said you should try to use one same as what you have.if ya can look for markings on the HB or take it in with you.

Do you have links to the two different balancers?

I would think that you want the same weight as the stock one, assuming the weight has to do with the actual balancing .

the balancer on my 86 fiero is pretty much shot, so i went to buy a new one and two options pulled up. the difference between the two is about 27 ounces. so my question is, can the balancer be heavier than the stock one? what would that affect, if anything?
thanks.

That was the problem,i just used a piece of regular gas line to make the connection instead of that junk they sell with the fuel pump i don't recommend anyone use them they rot and turn to gum over time. car is running great now even drove it around town. Thanks for all your help i  will keep up in here and see who i can help when i can if you dint mind.

Hopefully that split line was your problem, with a split in that line you'll have a lot of trouble maintaining any sort of fuel pressure to your injector.

That is a fairly common issue, kind of odd you were able to get reasonable fuel pressure readings when you tested it earlier.

Hey, I need some help. I own a 1986 fiero and someone pulled the motor out while i was at Bct, to replace it with a new one that was bought for it, and now i am stuck with a jumbled mess of wiring and hoses. does anyone know where i could find info on how to put this thing back together? a website? Pictures? advice?
thanks

well replaced a coil it was bad but car still wont start not much left to check so will keep you posted on it.guess I'm gonna replace fuel pump just so i know its ok for sure.but for some reason while trying to start it the car will back spit thru the carb. well update for ya if your following this.

UPDATE!!

took tank out  pulled out fuel rail and pump turns out the rubber connector between the pump and the metal line was rotting away and had split open so thereofr not much fuel was getting to the carb.im in the process at the moment of putting it all back together i replaced the fuel pump  screen it was black and that explains the rubber pieces in the fuel filter also. will let ya know how it went after its done.

Doh! I forgot you don't set timing on that car, the ECM is supposed to take care of it Undecided

I've never owned one of the distributorless Fieros myself, the ignition system on those is fairly unfamiliar to me.

Do you know if the Coils are quite old?
