Several of us from PFF have been moving over there, its a much more open forum with less of the drama.

Looking good man, you do some great work. I like how you merged the factory style center decklid vent in, it looks very clean.

Nice vid, actually planning on getting some in-flight footage for the end? Gotta be pretty rewarding taking it up in the air for the first time.

I'm sure Shaun will get you activated soon  Wink

Welcome Bill, did you finish that airplane you had been restoring?

From what I've read, its could also be called a power steering pump pulley puller.

Is there any way you can reach the bolts with a wrench, loosen them a bit, pull the pump out a bit, loosen the bolts a bit more, and so on?

I haven't done it myself, though apparently it is actually pressed on there. I believe you can rent a special tool for that purpose from an automotive store.

Sorry didn't see your post sooner.

In all honesty, its usually cheaper and easier to just buy a V6 fiero, than it is to do the conversion.

In any case, I am not certain about the transmission compatibility with the V6's . I did find this reference on Wikipedia, which suggests that the V6 came with the Getrag transmission though I can't be certain about it's accuracy.

I think you can straight swap that over no, since both are the same generation cradle and engine. The only time you would have issues if you were trying to swap in an 87-88 cradle and engine as they are different.

The Duke is generally a lost cause in terms of power, people have done it, though generally not considered reliable or road-worthy.

I had a webpage to a Iron Duke build, but apparently AOL shutdown their web hosting without notice  Angry

Putting a stock sunroof on, can be done by purchasing an entire Roof panel from a sunroof-equipped Fiero. The roof section is bolted down to the frame, with some adhesive on the A-pillars by the windshield. It can be carefully removed, then the Sunroof panel can be installed in its place. The metal frame itself already has the hole, all you need is the roof panel and glass.

With the headliner in place, I don't think you'll get much rattling. The headliner itself should keep them quiet.

I think the boost killed it, it was a thrown-together deal.

I have once, but I don't think it lasted long. Someone put in a twin turbo V8, though I can't remember who.

Yeah, it snaps into the B trim panel as well which seems to hold it in place pretty well.
